To take place on Public or Private land in Whatcom County, no more than 40 minutes from Bellingham.
Location depends on abundance of resources. Registered participants will be notified with driving directions and details 3-5 days prior to the event.
Please join naturalist and botanist, Jazmen Yoder for a day out this summer learning about medicinal plants and wildcrafting infusions, cordage, and beads from common and abundant plants from woodlands and roadsides. This course will cover several uses of plants like alder, willow, blackberries, elderberries, fireweed and stinging nettle.
If you have an interest in herbalism and wildcrafting, this course is designed for you!
What to Bring:
Dress for the weather
Comfortable shoes
Snacks/lunch and plenty of water
Sunscreen and/or other sun protection (hat, glasses, etc)
Packable camp chair or blanket
Foraging basket
Scissors or a knife
Notepad and pen (optional)
Class size is limited
