Saturday September 26th, 2026
12:30pm to ~4:30pm
Stimpson Family Nature Reserve
Join me in late September for a walk in the woods searching for edible and medicinal plants & mushrooms, and to get a jump on mushroom season by discussing fungi ecology and keeping our eye out for all the early specimens!
This is a walk in the woods where we’ll be stopping a lot to identify edible and medicinal plants and fungi we find.
There is no foraging allowed at this forest reserve.
Keep your eye out for mushroom foraging courses with Northwest Natura happening in October (TBA!)
This course will be focused on plant & mushroom ID and ecology. Bring your camera and come learn a ton of new things!
What to bring:
Dress for the weather
Snacks and water
Notepad and pen (optional)
Hand lens (optional)
You will receive an automated confirmation of payment. Registered individuals will receive location details, driving directions, weather forecast details and other info in an event-reminder email 3-4 days prior to the event. Please use an active email address to sign up. All communications from NW Natura to you re: this workshop will be sent to the email address on file from your purchase.
