


























Enchanted Woodworking: Wand Carving Workshop

1pm to ~6:30pm

Join us for a day of whimsical woodworking in this half-day course co-led by Jazmen Yoder (Northwest Natura) and experienced carver, Mike B. (The Dry Troll).
What to Expect
Learn the lore of trees, and their magical properties and symbolism.
Select a stick from an offering of various magical plants provided to participants:
Select a species to work with - choose your wood
Learn carving techniques, detail work, and knife safety
Handcraft your own uniquely wand from start to finish
Option to wrap with metal wire, add colorful dyes, decorative knot-work, and/or carve sigils to personalize and enchant the wand in the final portion of the course.
What to bring:
Wear something comfortable
Snacks/lunch and water
Your own knife, knife set, and/or carving tools (optional. Knives will be provided)
Notebook and pen (optional)
Additional decor for your wand (optional. Multiple colors of dye will be provided)
Other decor could be things such as:
Small crystals, rhinestones, ribbon, wire, glitter, cordage for knot-work etc.
After signing up:
You will receive a receipt of payment. Registered individuals will receive location details, driving directions, weather forecast details and other info in an event-reminder email 3-4 days prior to the event.
